Vol. 249 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing of Farm Stock.

36.

andDr. Gibbons asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will formulate a scheme to provide cheaper winter housing or shelters for stock of those farmers working on the western drumlin soil areas.

The question of winter housing and shelters for stock is being examined in connection with proposed measures for improvement and rationalisation of the farm buildings scheme which I hope to announce shortly. The drumlin soil areas form part of the 12-county "western area" where a number of special measures of assistance to farmers are already in operation.
