asked the Minister for Local Government how much has been spent on its public library service by each local authority running such a service, authority by authority, in each of the years 1960-69.

The information requested in respect of the years up to and including 1966-67 is contained in the Department's Annual Reports for those years. Details of the amounts spent by library authorities in the years 1967-68 and 1968-69 are included in the following statement:—
