asked the Minister for Education if he will give a list of primary schools to be replaced in (a) Meath and (b) Kildare giving the approximate date on which work is likely to be started in each case.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report a statement giving particulars of primary schools in Counties Meath and Kildare which are to be replaced by new schools. I am unable to say at present when building work will commence in each particular case.

Following is the statement:—

2. Cases in which grants have been sanctioned but where contracts have not been placed:
