asked the Minister for Local Government what the present position is regarding the proposed water supply to Kinvara and Dooras, County Galway.

Preliminary proposals for this scheme were approved on 12th May, 1970, subject to further consideration of certain technical aspects. I understand that the local authority are at present preparing contract documents.

asked the Minister for Local Government how much has been spent on extending water and sewerage in County Dublin during the past five years to date.

The capital expenditure incurred on the provision of water and sewerage schemes in County Dublin in the past five years was £2.018 million.

51.

asked the Minister for Local Government the reason for the delay in proceeding with the Moycullen sewerage scheme, County Galway; and if it can be extended to cater for houses on the mountain road.

Contract drawings for this scheme were approved by me on 17th June, 1970. The submission of the remaining contract documents by Galway County Council is awaited. No proposals have been received from the local authority for the extension referred to.

asked the Minister for Local Government if, in view of the hold-up of building, he will state the reason for the delay in proceeding with the Barna sewerage scheme, Galway.

Galway County Council were requested on 22nd June, 1970, to furnish additional technical data in connection with their preliminary proposals for Barna sewerage scheme. This information is awaited in my Department.

53.

asked the Minister for Local Government when sanction for the loan for Knockbridge sewerage scheme, County Louth, will be issued from his Department.

Sanction to the raising of a loan to finance this scheme issued on 19th instant.
