Vol. 250 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Water Schemes.

33.

asked the Minister for Local Government what the present position is regarding the group water supply scheme at Moneygall, County Offaly.

It is assumed that the Deputy is referring to a scheme for the Dunkerrin area. The engineer engaged by the group is preparing a design for this scheme.

34.

asked the Minister for Local Government when it is proposed to install a water supply to the Rockbrook area. County Dublin.

Contract 2 of the South County Dublin water supply scheme, now in progress, will provide a water supply to the Rockbrook area.

Will the Minister ensure that this scheme is not impeded in any way? This area is situated a few miles from the centre of the city and the primitive conditions there have impeded development. It is desirable that nothing should impede the progress of this scheme. Would the Minister ensure that no obstacle, such as those experienced on a previous occasion, will be placed in the way?

Certainly.

35.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position in respect of the Dundrum regional water scheme. County Tipperary.

Tenders for this scheme were approved last week.
