Minister for Transport and Power (Mr. B. Lenihan)

I move amendment No. 1:

In page 2, line 11, after "agregate" to insert—

", and any such grants shall be in addition to any grants payable to the Board under any previous enactments".

The Attorney General has advised that, as drafted, section I could be open to the interpretation that the amount of £2.98 million in the section, could be taken to apply to grants approved under existing legislation. That is not so. This is in addition to grants received under existing legislation. It is a matter of clarification.
