Vol. 250 No. 7

Written Answers. - Dún Laoghaire Road Junction.

58.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the need for the erection of traffic lights at the junction of Glasthule road and Adelaide road. Dún Laoghaire; and if it is proposed to provide traffic lights at this point.

The erection of traffic lights is a matter for the local authority acting at the request, or with the consent, of the Garda Commissioner. My Department is involved only if Road Fund moneys are sought to be used in their provision. There are no proposals before my Department involving the use of Road Fund moneys for the provision of traffic light signals at the location mentioned by the Deputy.
