asked the Minister for Local Government whether a one ton van (name supplied) is regarded as being representative of class C for the purpose of a driving test; and, if not, why, having regard to the fact that it is a van of under two tons unladen weight.

This manufacturer's van which has a carrying capacity of approximately one ton is, in its standard form, regarded as being representative of Class C and is acceptable for a Class C driving test.
