Vol. 250 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Boyle (Roscommon) National School.

93.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the need of a replacement for the boys national school at Boyle, County Roscommon; if there are any plans in relation to the matter; if so, for how long; and if he will state the up-to-date position.

I am aware of the need for replacing the boys national school at Boyle.

A grant towards the cost of erecting a new school, on the basis of sketch plans prepared by the Office of Public Works, was sanctioned by my Department on 23rd July, 1970. The remaining arrangements are in the hands of the Office of Public Works, and it is expected that tenders for the building of the new school may be invited in about four weeks time.
