The special grant of 10 per cent of scale salary payable to teachers in Gaeltacht schools has been replaced with effect as from 1st July, 1963, by an allowance of £125 per annum.
This change was recommended by the Tribunal on Teachers' Salaries and formed the subject of an agreement made at the National Teachers' Conciliation Council.
