A proposal for the carrying out of site works and the erection of a factory bay at Thurles has been under examination in my Department in consultation with the other Departments concerned. Certain difficulties regarding the adequacy of the local infrastructure delayed the implementation of the proposal. These difficulties have recently been cleared and I am hopeful that the necessary sanction will issue in the near future.
