Vol. 251 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ringsend (Dublin) Vocational School.

30.

asked the Minister for Education if he will expedite the plans to repair or rebuild the technical school (vocational) at Ringsend, Dublin, in view of the run-down conditions of the buildings.

The proposal for the reconstruction and extension of Ringsend Vocational School will be considered at the next meeting of the Dublin Advisory Council and I await a recommendation from the council in the matter.

Some of these buildings were erected during the first World War. Will the Minister press to have a proper plan drawn up as soon as possible?

I am awaiting proposals from the Dublin Advisory Council.

Is the Minister aware of the very high reputation of the school and that work is being impeded?

I recognise the building is not in very good condition.
