Vol. 251 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tralee Housing.

101.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he has given sanction to Tralee Urban Council for the erection of 27 new houses at the rear of the existing houses in Boherbee, Tralee, County Kerry.

When I received the deputation from Tralee Urban District Council and the local residents, which was arranged by the Deputy, about this proposal, I decided that I would have an outline layout prepared by my advisers to illustrate whether houses could be provided on the restricted area available, without causing an undue traffic hazard. A layout was prepared showing how ten houses could be so provided at this stage, and I have asked the council for their views on this layout. I will consider the possibility of providing more houses at this particular location when I see how the scheme of ten houses works out.
