Vol. 251 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Western Drainage.

17.

asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the fact that land productivity would benefit enormously from drainage, he will consider increasing the vote for arterial drainage in the West of Ireland to an amount which will equate it with the amount of expenditure on industrial incentives.

The national arterial drainage programme is proceeding on the basis of established priority lists which have been upheld by successive Governments and which cater generously for the western areas.
