Vol. 251 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Planning Permission for Garage. Planning Appeal.

35.

asked the Minister for Local Government the cause of the long delay in giving a decision on a planning permission appeal for the erection of petrol pumps for a well-established and progressive garage and engineering works (name supplied); if he is aware of the consequent serious loss of business, trade and profits to this firm because they do not enjoy the same facilities as others who are in the same area and in the same trade; and if he will give an immediate decision on the matter.

I have the appeal under active consideration and I hope to make my decision shortly. While it is under consideration it would not be appropriate for me to comment on the merits of the case.
