Vol. 251 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Centres in Britain.

6.

Mr. O'Donnell

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he is aware of the urgent need for funds to assist the Irish centres in Great Britain; if so, if he will now consider making a special grant available towards the cost of running these centres; and, if not, why.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply given to his question on the 15th December, 1970 in which the nature of the financial and other assistance available from official sources to Irish emigrants in Great Britain was comprehensively set out and in which it was also indicated that the Government are considering further ways in which to assist these emigrants.
