asked the Minister for Justice if he will consider extending the Dublin Garda Metropolitan area to take in all of the area of Ballyfermot.
With your permission, a Cheann Chomhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 33 and 34 together.
The whole of Ballyfermot is already within the Dublin Metropolitan area. The portion of Ballyfermot which is at present policed from Chapelizod station will be policed from the new station at Ballyfermot.
It is expected that the new Garda station at Ballyfermot will be completed in about two months time. The strength of the new station and number of vehicles to be assigned there are not yet finally determined.
