It is expected that the new Garda station at Rathmines will be completed before the end of this year.
The old building at the junction of Rathgar Road and Rathmines Road Upper is privately owned. The Office of Public Works did have a lease of it but on the termination of this lease in 1966 the owners resumed possession.

asked the Minister for Finance the present position regarding efforts to obtain a site or premises for a new Garda station at Terenure, Dublin.
It has not proved possible up to the present to secure a suitable site for the erection of a new station or a building which could be adapted for requirements.
