Vol. 252 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin City Employment.

44.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce what proposals are in hand to provide extra employment in the Dublin city area; and the approximate numbers of new jobs which will be created by their implementation.

Proposals at present in hand for the establishment of new industries or the expansion of existing enterprises in the Dublin city area are expected to give employment to a total of about 1,300 persons, 800 of whom would be male, when at full production. As details of industrial proposals that are under consideration by the IDA must be treated as confidential the Deputy will appreciate that I am unable at this stage to give him any further information.
