asked the Taoiseach if he will make a statement on his recent meeting with President Nixon; and what matters were discussed.

I had an extensive exchange of views with President Nixon on matters of current international interest. At the same time, I indicated to him my views about the situation in the North of Ireland and in regard to our application to join the European Communities.
