Vol. 252 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Committee of Public Accounts Expenditure.

10.

asked the Minister for Finance what expenditure was allowed for the Committee of Public Accounts in relation to its present deliberations; whether this expenditure has been exceeded; and, if so, by how much.

No specific provision was made in the original Estimates for 1970-71 for the expenditure referred to by the Deputy but a Supplementary Estimate being taken for the Houses of the Oireachtas includes a provision of £3,500 for that item. Expenditure to date is £3,592. The excess of £92 on the provision and any further expenditure this year will be met from savings on the Estimate generally.
