Vol. 252 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Electrical Installation.

10.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he is aware that a person (name supplied) in Limerick who installed facilities for a water supply has been informed by the ESB that the necessary electrical work to enable drinking water to be provided to his house and for his cows will not be carried out for at least three months; if delays of this nature are common in Limerick; and, if so, what action the ESB propose to take to remedy the situation.

I am informed by the ESB that, because of the heavy commitments of work on hands, it is not possible to estimate an earlier date for the job in question than three months ahead. Delays of this order are common at present in Limerick and throughout the country. The board are proceeding with rural connections at the fastest rate possible.
