Vol. 252 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - New Industries.

44.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (a) the number of new industries established in Dublin city and county during the five years ended on 31st January, 1971 and (b) the number of new industries established in the other 25 counties in the same period.

During the period in question the number of new industries, other than small industries, which came to my notice as having been established was 31 in Dublin city and county and 192 in the other 25 counties. Additionally, there were 22 expansions to existing industries in Dublin city and county and 114 such expansions in the rest of the country. During the same period, five industries were established in Dublin city and county and 145 in the other 25 counties under the small industries programme.
