asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he is aware of the widespread anxiety among Irish farmers about Ireland's application to join the EEC because of reports of riots in Brussels where farmers are demanding higher prices for their produce; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am not so aware. The major Irish farmer organisations fully support Ireland's application for membership of the European Communities.
