Vol. 252 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers (Resumed). - Meath Telephone Service.

54.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the progress made since his reply of 12th November, 1970 in installing additional switching and any other equipment which may be necessary to remedy the faults in the telephone services in the Trim and Navan exchange areas, County Meath.

Some additional switching equipment was provided in an Uaimh exchange in January and equipment which is in progress is expected to be completed in about three months time. The additional equipment also improves the service for Trim subscribers, whose calls to other exchanges are switched automatically at An Uaimh. Additional circuits also have been provided between An Uaimh and Trim and a major overhaul of Trim exchange equipment is nearing completion.

Surely, the Minister means Navan?
