Vol. 253 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Government Finance.

12.

asked the Minister for Finance whether the Government intend to act on the advice given by OECD about (a) alternative sources of finance, (b) the pruning of public expenditure and (c) budgeting for a current surplus.

The valuable advice given by OECD in their recent economic survey of this country will be taken into account by the Government in framing future budgetary policy in so far as they consider this to be practicable in the circumstances prevailing from time to time.
