Vol. 253 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Free Electricity and Turf.

11.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why a person (name supplied) in Dublin is not receiving free ESB supply and free turf vouchers.

It is understood that the person in question has part of her house sublet. The electricity used both by herself and the tenant is recorded on one meter. In these circumstances, she does not qualify for free electricity allowance.

She is in receipt of old age (contributory) pension and is not eligible to participate in the cheap fuel scheme.
