Vol. 253 No. 12

Written Answers. - State and Semi-State Bodies.

127.

asked the Minister for Health the number of (a) local government employees and (b) employees of State and semi-State bodies under the aegis of his Department who are at present in receipt of £2,500 per annum and upwards; and if he will indicate the total amount of salaries paid annually in respect of each category.

The information is being compiled and I would suggest that the Deputy repeat the question in a fortnight.

128.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state in respect of the years ended 31st March, 1956 and 31st March, 1971 (a) the total debt of State and semi-State bodies under the aegis of his Department and (b) the cost of servicing such debt.

As stated in replies to previous similar questions the bodies which come under the aegis of my Department receive support in the form of grant from my Department and, except by way of temporary bank overdraft, the question of borrowing does not arise.
