asked the Minister for Defence how much money is owed to date by the United Nations to this country in respect of Irish peace keeping forces.

Claims made on the United Nations to date in respect of participation of members of the Permanent Defence Force in peace keeping duties amount to £4,733,338 and of this £4,263,589 has been paid leaving a balance of £469,749 outstanding.
