Vol. 254 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - West of Ireland Craft Industries.

60.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is prepared to give extra incentives to specialist and craft industries operating in the West of Ireland to enable them to be in optimum condition in the event of Ireland entering the EEC.

Capital grants and comprehensive advisory services are already available under the small industries programme to specialist and craft industries operating in the West of Ireland. I am satisfied that these facilities as well as re-equipment grants are adequate to meet the normal demands of any such industries which find it necessary to prepare themselves for entry into the EEC.
