Vol. 254 No. 14

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Offaly School.

83.

asked the Minister for Education the position in regard to Rahan secondary school, County Offaly, which is under the control of nuns; if it is his Department's intention to close the school; and, if so, why.

There are no proposals for the closure of this post-primary school. My Department are satisfied, however, that the continuance of a senior cycle in the school would not be warranted by the number of pupils involved and has notified the school authorities accordingly.
