asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state, for each of the past three years, in relation to Counties Meath and Kildare the number of local authority houses built; the number of private houses built with grant; and his estimate of the number of private houses built without grant; if the ratio of private to local authority houses is higher or lower for these counties than the national average; if so, if he will indicate to what extent; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The following statement shows, for the three years 1968-69, 1969-70 and 1970-71, the output of local authority and private housing in Counties Meath and Kildare and the percentage of total output in these counties represented by private housing.
