Vol. 255 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mayo Houses.

66.

asked the Minister for Local Government how many county council houses were built in County Mayo in the past ten years; and where they were built.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply to Question No. 79 of the 30th July, 1970, which gives the required information about completions up to 31st March, 1970. In the year ended the 31st March, 1971, Mayo County Council completed 49 dwellings comprising seven houses, 18 mobile homes, and 24 demountable dwellings. Information regarding the locations in which dwellings were completed is not available in my Department.

67.

Mr. J. Lenehan

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position regarding proposals for the erection of 11 houses by Mayo County Council in Belmullet town, County Mayo.

This scheme was advertised for tenders last month and I am awaiting the submission of the county council's proposal for the acceptance of a tender.
