asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state, further to his reply to Questions Nos. 54 and 55 of 13th July concerning the closure of industrial firms, the range of industries involved and the total number of workers involved.

The industries represented by the 11 firms referred to in my reply of 13th July included woven fabrics, knitwear, chip baskets, natural veneers, food products, pottery and moulds for shoes. As stated in my reply of 13th July, the number of workers involved was about 680.
