asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if the Government will retain, under EEC maritime regulations, the right that it now has under our own legislation to prevent the transfer of Irish ships to other registrations.

There is nothing in the EEC regulations which will affect our right under existing legislation to prevent the transfer of Irish ships to other registrations.
