Vol. 256 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Emigrants' Postal Votes.

1.

asked the Taoiseach if he has received a petition from the Federation of Irish Centres (Northern Region) in Great Britain requesting the introduction of a postal vote for all Irish emigrants; and, if so, what reply he has given.

I received the communication referred to. In reply, the receipt of the letter was acknowledged and the federation were informed that it had been brought to the attention of the Minister for Local Government.

It is my view that the proposition is not practicable.
