asked the Minister for Health to what medical benefit a person who pays the £7 per annum under the Health Contributions Act, 1971, is entitled.

The principal benefits for contributors and their dependants are the free hospital in-patient and out-patient hospital services arranged by health boards. They are also eligible, without charge, for maternity care and infant welfare services, child health services, diagnosis, immunisation and vaccination in respect of infectious diseases and drugs and medicines for certain specified long-term conditions.
