Vol. 257 No. 2

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 1, 5, 8, 26, 27, 28, 29 and in No. 29 Votes 42, with 42 Supplementary, and 41. Nos. 5 and 6 to be taken with Vote No. 41. Questions at 3 p.m.

On the Order of Business. I should like to put it to you and to An Tánaiste there appears on the Order Paper in the name of Deputy Dr. Byrne and myself a Bill which is entitled an Act to make further and better provision to control the distribution and manufacture of certain drugs——

The Bill can be moved. There can be no discussion on it at this stage.

What I want to say to you, a Cheann Comhairle, is that I believe that for this House and for the country this Bill is a very important one——

The Bill has to be moved first.

I just want to say to you——

The Deputy would not be in order in saying anything further at this stage.

Can I not say what the Minister said to Deputy Dr. Byrne and myself?

No. I am sorry, Deputy.

I want to say now and put on record that the Minister told us in the privacy of his own room that he would have this Bill——

The Deputy is completely out of order. The Bill must be moved.

I want to record the Minister's statement.

The Deputy would not be in order in recording anything at this stage.

Not even in making a comment in front of An Tánaiste and Minister for Health?

No, there is nothing before us. I am calling No. 1.
