Vol. 257 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Defects in House.

129.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether a grant was paid to a person in Dublin (name supplied) for the building of a house (details supplied) in which there are serious defects; and whether any effort has been made by his Department to have the defects rectified.

A grant of £275 was paid on 19th September, 1969, by my Department for the provision of this house. At that time the structural requirements for grant purposes had been complied with. The rectification of any defects arising subsequently is a matter for the householder and, where appropriate, the builder.
