Vol. 257 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Shipyard Grants.

91.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the total State grant for each of the past ten years to ship repair and ship construction yards; and whether the position in regard to future orders for ship repairs is considered to be satisfactory.

The information sought by the Deputy is set out in the form of a tabular statement which with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

Orders for ship repairs depend on many factors but I have no reason to think that a satisfactory level of such orders will not be secured in the future.

Following is the statement:

GRANTS and Subsidies paid to Ship Repair and Ship Construction yards.
