As I informed the House on the 5th November, 1970, in reply to a question, this matter was examined by the Committee of Inquiry into Reformatory and Industrial Schools, who were appointed by the Government in 1967, and who submitted their report to the Minister for Education in April, 1970. The matter is at present being considered in consultation with the Minister for Education.
