asked the Minister for Education if it his intention to close any of the following national schools in County Offaly: (a) Eglish, (b) Rath and (c) Killyon.

With a view to providing better educational facilities for the children in Eglish parish it has been decided to amalgamate Eglish and Killyon national schools with Rath national school when additional accommodation is provided at this school. Free transport to Rath national school will be provided for all the pupils of the Eglish and Killyon school districts.
