asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the present salary of instructors in agriculture under County Committees of Agriculture.

The salary scale, operative since January, 1971 of instructors in agriculture employed by County Committees of Agriculture is: a minimum of £1,355 increasing by five annual increments of £140 each to £2,055, and thence by seven annual increments of £100 each to £2,755, and one increment of £90 to £2,845. In addition to this, a post-maximum increment of £80 is payable after three years on the maximum of the scale, thereby bringing the overall maximum to £2,925 per annum.
