Vol. 257 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clare Harbour Development.

62.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries what major harbour development is intended for the Clare coast.

As I informed the Deputy on 30th July, 1970, no major fishery harbour development plans such as those provided for in the Fishery Harbour Centres Act, 1968, are contemplated for the County Clare coast.

63.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries when a decision is expected on the development of Doonbeg Bay, County Clare as a result of the survey carried out there.

The recommendations made by the County Clare survey team about the fishery landing place at Doonbeg are at present being examined. Until the examination is completed, I cannot say when a decision may be reached or what marine works, if any, may be approved.
