Vol. 257 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - State Bodies' Motor Vehicles.

67.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the numbers and types of road motor vehicles operated by each of the main State bodies for which he is the responsible Minister.

As far as State bodies which are trading companies are concerned, I would regard the numbers of vehicles which they operate as entirely a matter of their day-to-day operation for which I have no responsibility. As regards the non-trading State bodies for which I am responsible, two motor cars are provided for the use of staff by Kilkenny Design Workshops, and one each by the Industrial Development Authority, Shannon Free Airport Development Company, Ltd. and Córas Tráchtála. In addition, the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards operates three vans as mobile laboratories and the Industrial Development Authority one motor cycle for despatch purposes.
