asked the Minister for Lands if he will furnish the following particulars in connection with the operation of the forestry bonus scheme and changes in pay and bonus since 1958: (a) the average bonus earnings at some convenient time after the forestry bonus scheme became applicable to more than half the forests and the time rate at that time, (b) the date and first revision of the bonus scheme and the bonus for 100 per cent productivity, (c) the date of each change in basic rates of pay and the amount of change, (d) the date of change in the bonus scheme and the amount of change; and (e) if figures are readily available, the average bonus earnings per hour, or per week, before each change in the bonus scheme
Written Answers. - Forestry Bonus Scheme.
The information sought by the Deputy is as follows:—
(a) In January, 1960, when the forestry incentive bonus scheme was in operation in more than half of the forests, the average bonus earnings were 6d per hour. The basic rate of pay equated 2/7 per hour at that time.
(b) The first revision of the bonus scheme was effected on 18 August, 1962, when the rate for 100 per cent productivity was increased to 10d per hour.
(c) The date of each change in basic rates of pay and the weekly rates of pay are set out beneath:—
