The activities of Comhairle le Leas Óige are constantly expanding and developing.
They now have direct responsibility for 11 brúanna and services are also provided to 140 affiliated youth clubs. In the past three years sanction was given for the appointment of three field officers and an officer to deal with unattached youth.
In the current financial year, the programme of Comhairle le Leas Óige will cost over £80,000 as against £36,260 in 1968-69.
Can the Parliamentary Secretary say why it is that the representative of the County Dublin Vocational Education Committee, despite the fact that he was selected to attend these meetings, has never been invited to a meeting of An Comhairle le Leas Óige?
