Vol. 259 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Traffic Free Areas.

26.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has any further plans for the creation of major pedestrian traffic free areas in the greater Dublin area.

The formulation of plans of this nature is the responsibility of the local authority concerned acting in consultation with the Garda Commissioner. Apart from the experiments carried out in Henry Street and Grafton Street, I have also asked that an examination be made of the possibility of carrying out a similar experiment in North Earl Street.
