Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Louth Houses.

47.

asked the Minister for Local Government the nature of the replies, if any, sent by his Department following the receipt of communications dated 31st July, 1971, from Louth County Council in connection with various housing schemes in the county.

Proposals by Louth County Council for the acceptance of tenders for housing schemes at Ardee, Louth village and Tallanstown were received in my Department on 3rd August last and were acknowledged in the normal way.

On 18th October, 1971, revised proposals for the acceptance of tenders for these three schemes were received from the housing authority. My approval was given on 25th January, 1972, to the acceptance of the tender for the Louth village scheme. A decision on the proposals for the schemes at Ardee and Tallanstown will be given as soon as possible.

48.

asked the Minister for Local Government when he will sanction the Scarlet Street housing development, Drogheda, County Louth, which was submitted to his Department by Drogheda Corporation.

I have approved the corporation's proposal to accept a tender for this scheme.
