Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Northern Ireland Situation.

asked the Taoiseach if he was given any indication on proposed British political initiatives for Northern Ireland during his recent meeting with Mr. Harold Wilson; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

asked the Taoiseach if he will make a statement on the recent visit of Mr. Harold Wilson.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 1 and 2 together.

Mr. Wilson and I had a general discussion in regard to the Northern Ireland situation. I do not intend to discuss the details of our conversation beyond saying that Mr. Wilson affirmed that he had no knowledge of political initiatives that might be proposed by the British Government.
